Atlantic Hearts #195

Image may contain: text

Wonderful new sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge today, and all the Design Team cards will be posted there on Wednesday.  My card uses a few of my favorite older Valentine sets.  I haven't purchased many new ones in recent years...I don't send many Valentines.  But I had a lot of fun with this one and pulling together lots of various stash things.
Stamps are all from two CTMH sets: Whooo's Your Valentine? and Mad About You I used them with Pixie ink to create some background panels. I then used a CTMH hearts embossing folder for the center panel. The little squares are from snippets of paper from a Colorbok paper pad bought years ago. I cut some hearts with the Cricut and free cut a little arrow.  The sentiment was heat embossed with Hero Arts white. I dug in the embellishment box and found some crystal hearts, too!

CASology FOREST

One of my new dies is from Impression Obsession, and I had cased a few cards that had inspired the purchase.  But today going through some paper snippets, I saw some browns and greens and decided to cut them up.  This card is the result. It's very simple, but I really like the way it turned out.  I used some Desert Sand ink to sponge the brown paper, and the Misti to stamp the sentiment, from Close To My Heart: Friend Tree.

So I am linking to CASology this week.

Coffee

Happy to use a new Holtz embossing folder today, and I had many chuckles perusing funny quotes about coffee on line.  First, I embossed some kraft card stock with a woodgrain folder, and used some ink to distress it lightly.  The center panel was embossed and mounted with thin foam on the kraft.
Two dies used: Stitched Circles (SSS), and Coffee on the Go (Memory Box).  The sentiment was computer generated.

Linking to Fusion (see the sketch and inspiration photo below) and Happy Little Stampers use a die theme.

Atlantic Hearts #193

No automatic alt text available.

Great sketch to begin the New Year!  Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #193.  They are also searching for a few new members of the Design Team.  I have really enjoyed being part of this creative group this past year.   Do you love crafting? Enjoy using sketches as a creative boost? Enjoy the support and friendship of online crafting friends?  All of this!  Go check it out  at Atlantic Hearts.

My card for Sketch #193 uses last January's Stamp of the Month from CTMH, Beloved Bouquet, inked in Thistle, Pear, Pixie. The papers come from the Penelope collection.  I stamped an old favorite sentiment from Papertrey in Eggplant ink. The edging was created with a die from My Favorite Things. Some cheerful spring colors as the PNW enters a week of record cold.
