Gift Box

I used CTMH Sonoma papers to cover a CTMH box, and filled it with matching note cards, a pen, and some chocolates. The flowers were cut from CTMH Amethyst card stock on the Cricut, brushed with Smokey Plum ink and embellished with a small opaque in the center. The ribbon is a narrow grosgrain from Stampin'Up!

OLW 80 Two by Two Plus Masking

Susan's OLW challenge this week was easier than usual. Am I finally getting the one-layer CAS work, or was it dumb luck? This one layer card uses Papertrey card stock, CTMH Tulip and Olive inks, CTMH (flower + leaf) and Papertrey (sentiment) stamps. I stamped one flower, masked to do the other and the leaves. Challenge was two inks+ two images+ masking, no embellishments. But I really wanted to add something in the flower centers....! But I very much like this card and will try a few more using the formula. Big Thank You, Susan! This is also a good card for the FTL 179 challenge at Clean & Simple

Less Is More Punches Week 55

Less Is More is a fabulous site for inspiration. I don't always have time to complete a card on time for their weekly challenges and wish I could do this more often! I created the inked letterpress piece and then used punches for the butterfly (solid is EK and top was Martha Stewart), and for the ovals - both plain and scallop are Stampin'Up! punches. Card base and panel are Patertrey card stock, green is CTMH Sweet Leaf.

Catch the Bug Hearts Pearls + Lace using Cardabilities Sketch #49

FEBRUARY Challenge for Catch the Bug . That's a lovely combination. The sketch was a perfect fit.

This week at Cardabilities there is a sketch that calls for hearts. I have used CTMH Adore stamp inked in Blush on Colonial White. The ribbons are a velvet scallop and lace from American Crafts.

Celebrate Color PDCC119

This week at Play Date Cafe there is a color challenge. So I used the FTL 178 (correctly this time) as my sketch. Love this color combo. Used CTMH White Daisy, Cotton Candy paper and ink, Back sparkles, and EK border punch; CTMH stamp set Good Times.

FTL 178 Happy, Happy birthday

Clean & Simple sketch for this week. These tokens were purchased at a favorite shop in Port Townsend a few years back...they have been languishing in my stash, and I thought of them right away when I saw the sketch. But now as I post, I realize I did not place the sentiment correctly. . .and I hate to pull it all apart.

Anything But a Card Monday!

Catch the Bug here has some darling ideas for making things. I played with a new digi from Bugaboo Stamps called Lazy Bunny. Put him on a take-out box cut from Elemental paper with my Cricut, CTMH cartridge.

Anniversary

This is a card I made today for my husband...we will be married nine years this Wednesday. It is a letterpress technique using a Spellbinder Impressibility. I mixed some Acrylic paint with CTMH Sweet Leaf reinker, used my brayer to apply it to the stencil, then layered it with paper and mat and ran it through my Cuttlebug. The paint gets pressed into the design. This card is 51/4 X 6". I added a few liquid pearls and a CTMH pin in the bow. It is very frustrating to take pictures of my cards. Lately, I just don't seem to be able to get it right. Not sure if I need different light or a new camera....the detail is a little easier to see if you click to enlarge.

Yes! The weekend.

This was a week full of every kind of experience - joy and sadness, and lots of things in between. It was one that has left me with a profound appreciation for my friends and family. It is rare to head into the weekend with most of my school work caught up, so I'm thrilled to be in that position and have a long weekend as well!
This card was made with Pemberly paper, my new EK punch to create the dimensional flower with Indian Corn and textured Blue Denim papers, the CTMH AP cartridge for the flourish and tiny pearl embellishment. The card base is CTMH Indian Corn Blue card stock, sentiment from Card Chatter-Sympathy inked in Blue Denim.

Sweet Valentine

Today was a fun afternoon at the library. Friends of the Library group asked me to do a Valentine Chocolate Surprise event. They had 15 people sign up - each made a box with covered Hershey Nuggets inside, and a matching card. The CTMH AP cartridge made this a breeze to prepare. I used it to cut out the box (at 7 1/2"), ticket, the hearts and small flower. The card is 4" X 51/2" which really makes the best use of the 12 X 12 paper.

Products: Roxie papers; Smoothie, Black and Tulip inks; Cherish the Day and Mad About You stamp sets (November/December Stamp-of-the-Month); black brads; sheer ribbon from my stash; cardstock for tags and card bases are CTMH Colonial White.

MoJo 226 Sweetheart

This week's sketch at Mojo Monday seemed simple enough for me to do...then I decided to have a go at a round card instead of square. That was more of a challenge. I cut the Colonial White card base and inner circles on the Cricut using the CTMH AP cartridge. This will be one of the cards for my weekend card workshop.
